 Backwaters are one of the unique attractions of Kerala, a chain of canals extending about 1500 kms, with a network of 44 rivers, lagoons and lakes. Most of it is naturally formed. Here we have combined Backwater along with Canals made for continuous traffic of men and materials.
DAY 01 - MUMBAI
Arrive Mumbai, on arrival transfer to hotel where we will be holding the rooms on ready occupancy basis. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 02 - MUMBAI
Today you will come with us to explore the Mumbai, you will visit The Juhu beach, Gateway of India, Elephanta caves. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03 - BOMBAY - TRIVANDRUM - KOVALAM
Transfer to airport to catch flight to Trivandrum. On arrival in Trivandrum transfer to hotel, check into hotel and after that enjoy day in the sand. At your choice from any of the centres nearby, you can pamper yourself with a herbal, body- toning massage. Overnight to be spent at hotel.
DAY 04 - KOVALAM - CAPE CAMORIN - KOVALAM
After refreshing yourself at the beaches, next morning you will go to Cape Comorin. Visit: Padmanabhapuram Palace & Archaeological museum - In the evening drive back to Kovalam & spend your night with your high-reaching memories at the hotel.
DAY 05 - KOVALAM - VARKALA
This morning after breakfast we will proceed towards Varkala : one of the unspoilt beach resorts of India. You also have an option to go for body therapy overhere. Overnight to be spent at hotel.
DAY 06 - VARKALA - KUMARAKOM
Today ride into Kumarakom - the backwater country - by speedboat or a luxury cruiser from Varkala and then make yourself at home in its small-town hush. Feel at home!
DAY 07 - KUMARAKOM
Get Set for the moments that will approach you today with a boat ride into the countryside, you will visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. If you are adventurous enough, you can indulge in water sports such as windsailing & water skiing. You can even take a canoe out into the quiet lakes. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 08 - KUMARAKOM - PERIYAR
Getting to Periyar is as sublime as the destination itself. A scenic journey past mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular water falls and delightful trekking trails form the access to your hideway here. On arrival check into hotel, refresh yourself & be relaxed. Overnight to be spent at hotel.
DAY 09 - PERIYAR
Tiger! Isn't the word exciting & horrifying too! Yes, it is. Today you might have an opportunity to meet the beast. Come! Let's pierce into the Den & go to Periyar Tiger Reserve. Trekking with a local guide familiarizes you to the rare birds, trees & flowers that are come across here. You can even set upon a walk through the plantations filled with the heady fragrance of fresh spice. A boat safari on the Periyar Lake extends a lifetime's chance to spot exotic wildlife in its natural habitat - like the eccentric bathing habits of the wild elephants that come down to the lake. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 10 - PERIYAR - KOTTYAM - BACKWATER
In the morning, drive to Kottayam, from where you will enboard the traditionally decorated houseboats, you will start a two nights back water cruise which will end on day 12th morning at Allepey.
DAY 12 - ALLEPEY - COCHIN
Pick up from the Allepey and transfer to hotel in Cochin. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon City tour covering Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace etc. In the evening enjoy Kathakali dance show. Overnightb stay at hotel.
DAY 13 - COCHIN - CALICUT
Morning drive to Calicut, on arrival check into hotel. Afternoon half-day city tour covering Pazhassiraja Museum, The Art Gallery and Krishna Art Museum. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 14 - CALICUT - TREEHOUSE
Ensconced in Vythiri - 3750ft above sea leavel, in the Western Ghats among the Wyanad Hills in North Kerala at a distance of 65 kms from Calicut enroute Ooty - Mysore is the biggest kept secret of Kerala. The access to the Treehouse, 86 ft from ground, is by an indigenous cane elevator. Spend your time at the beautiful accommodation in Tree house.
DAY 15 - TREEHOUSE
Day free to explore the area. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 16 - TREEHOUSE - OOTY
Drive to Ooty. On arrival check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 17 - OOTY
Day free to explore the surroundings. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 18 - OOTY - MYSORE
Morning drive to Mysore, on arrival check into hotel. Afternoon City tour. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 19 - MYSORE - BANGALORE
In the afternoon, city tour of Mysore. Drive to Bangalore. On arrival check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 20 - BANGALORE - MUMBAI / DEPARTURE
Afternoon city tour of Bangalore, followed by departure transfer to catch flight to Mumbai. On arrival you will be taken to hotel where we will be holding a few rooms for wash and change. Have dinner and be transferred to airport to catch International flight.
