Puri:

The holy city of Puri, situated 60 km from Bhubaneswar, is one of the four holiest sites of pilgrimage for Hindus. The reigning deity of the city, Lord Jagannath, whose temple was built in the 12th century, is revered by thousands of pilgrims worldwide.

This intense reverence of Jagannath, or the Lord of the Universe, reaches its height during the annual rites of the Rath Yatra in June-July, when the images of Lord Jagannath, His sister Subhadra and brother Balbhadra are carried through the main road of Puri in traditionally decorated massive chariots that are dragged by thousands of devotees. The process is repeated they return to the temple.

Tirupati:

Lord Venkateswara, the presiding deity of Tirupati, is famous worldwide as the giver of boons, and people come from all over the world to pay homage at this shrine.
