Sasangir National Park Tour
Sasan gir national park is situated in the Western state of Gujarat, India. It is the only home of the Asiatic Lion - a threatened species of which there are only around 300 left in the wild.
The vegetation of Sasangir is adapted to the dry climate, with thorn forests spread over the rugged terrain. The forest is also home to the rare Asiatic wild ass and species such as the leopard, wild boar, gazelle, nilgai, spotted deer and different species of monkeys. The birds seen in the park include peacocks and parrots. There is also a crocodile-rearing and research centre nearby.
The Sasangir Wildlife National Park also includes the Nalsarovar Lake and sanctuary where many different species of birds can be seen.
Winter is the best time to visit Sasangir, as the climate is pleasanter than the hot and dry summer.
